Stonecrete came into being ten years ago to fill a need for a durable lightweight alternative to other options available on the market. Other products were available, but did not suit many of the styles of homes, leaving people with a look that did not integrate with their landscaping or overall style. No real innovations had occurred in this market for many years, and the choices people had were limited.

David Kennett's background in the concrete industry, his experience in moulding and his design flair have come together to create a great alternative for something every house needs - a letterbox.

The result is upmarket, lightweight concrete letterboxes that don't cost the earth. They can also go in the boot of your car to be taken home immediately and self-installed easily.

Product Information

Instead of the letterboxes weighing 250kg they are around 30-55kg. They have a sandstone look textured finish, at about 1/5th of the cost of sandstone, and as they are manufactured with a coloured mix they never need painting.

The letterboxes are moulded from a unique fibre-reinforced concrete mix that took 18 months to research and develop. It allows the walls to be thin yet strong, overcoming the normal problem of thin concrete - cracking.

However, should you wish to colour co-ordinate your letterbox with your home, it can be painted with 1 litre of outdoor acrylic paint.
